Five questions to ask when choosing an advertising agency in Antalya
Agencies are usually chosen by portfolio. Five questions tell you more about how the work will actually run.
When people look for an advertising agency they start with the portfolio, and that is the right place to start: it shows the agency's eye, its taste and the scale it works at. But a portfolio only shows finished work; it does not show how the work will run with you. Five questions are enough for that.
1. Who will do the work?
The team in the meeting is not always the team doing the work. Ask whether design, copy, shooting and development happen inside the agency or outside it. Outsourcing is not a flaw, but the longer the chain, the longer each revision takes. At Redesign Ajans we keep design, web and production in one team, because a brand's voice degrades every time it changes hands.
2. Have you done this kind of job before?
Sector experience is optional; experience with the type of job is not. An agency that has built a catalogue site for one manufacturer can build one for another. Expecting a brand identity from a team that has only managed social media is a risk. Look for an example in the portfolio that resembles your job, and ask them to tell you the story of it.
3. What will I own at the end?
For a logo: vector files, colour values and usage guidelines. For a website: the admin panel and the source files. For advertising: the accounts themselves. The ad account and the domain should be opened in your name. If you and the agency part ways, they stay with you.
4. How will we measure success?
'More visibility' is not a target. Calls, form submissions, footfall, sales: agree which one you will look at before the work starts. Not everything can be measured; an identity project shows its effect over months. But an agency that does not offer to measure what can be measured makes for an awkward reporting day.
5. Can we meet in person?
Most work runs remotely, and we work with companies outside Antalya too. Still, for jobs that need a shoot, a location or a product, being in the same city matters: you can hold the product, see the space and plan the shoot without waiting days. For a business in Antalya, that is the concrete benefit of a local advertising agency.
If the answers to these five questions are clear, the conversation about price gets easier too, because you know what you are pricing.
