Cetpa
A cloud business platform built as an alternative to off-the-shelf ERP.
Year
2026
Scope
Cetpa is a construction-materials wholesaler. The established ERP packages did the job, but every new requirement meant either buying another module or joining a queue. The decision was to build their own.
The application is built on React and TypeScript, with data in PostgreSQL and authentication and file storage on Firebase. Releases are automated through GitHub Actions: every change pushed to the main branch is deployed to their own server.
Because the existing ERP could not be switched off overnight, the two systems talk to each other in both directions. Stock records, customer accounts and orders are written back to the old system, so the migration moves forward gradually without stopping the business.
The scope is broad: accounting and statutory filings, purchasing and approval flows, multi-warehouse stock, live shipment and cargo tracking, barcode scanning, bank statement import, quotation building, bills of materials, and a B2B portal where customers place their own orders. It runs today across 125 screens and more than 128,000 lines of code.
